Biography:
Sackey studied at the Regional Maritime University and Graduated with a BS in Nautical Science in 2013. He then joined the surf construction company, Subsea Seven UK Limited where he was privileged to have worked onboard a multipurpose marine construction vessel to work offshore as Deck Cadet on oil and gas development projects in West Africa by 2015. Onboard various offshore construction vessels equipped with various deck and subsea machinery systems and labs starting in March 2017, he was privileged to obtain METOCEAN, biodiversity, and ecological data for research studies. Hence, he proceeded to join the research faculty of Earth Science led by Prof Fava Salvatore of Selinus University of Science and Literature, Bologna, Italy, and graduated in 2021 with an MS and Ph.D. in Marine Environmental Science. He currently served as co-director with Plastic Punch environmental NGO based in Ghana and as a research scientist for COREWAM Ghana in a voluntary capacity. He has published more than 15 research articles in SCI (E) journals, one of his works of creative art, the novel Troubles of Madman Kind and Little Caleb, and a book of poetry. He subsequently joined Bureau Veritas Group, marine and offshore as a marine surveyor beginning in 2022
