Biography:
Dr. Assad Ghazwani is the Supervisor of the Geochemistry Unit at Saudi Aramco, with over 20 years of experience in organic geochemistry, petroleum systems analysis, reservoir characterization, and unconventional resource evaluation. He earned his PhD from RWTH Aachen University and has contributed extensively to technical studies and innovation initiatives supporting exploration, reservoir development, and applied geoscience workflows. Dr. Ghazwani is also an inventor and co-inventor of several patented and disclosed technologies, including the Interactive Core Description Assistant Using Virtual Reality, Interactive Correlation and Prediction of Source Rock Organofacies, Oil Families and Reservoir Alteration Using Machine Learning, and Water Washing Estimation and Prediction from Statistical Relationships of Gas Compositions. His work primarily focuses on integrating geochemistry, digital technologies, and advanced analytical workflows to improve subsurface characterization and unconventional resource assessment.
