Biography:

Sharina Al Muhairi is a distinguished UAE National energy professional with over 14 years of experience in reservoir management, field development, and upstream innovation across ADNOC Group. As Team Leader for Undeveloped Field Reservoir Studies (Surveillance) at ADNOC Onshore, Sharina leads transformative strategies that unlock value from marginal and sour oil reservoirs—assets traditionally considered uneconomical due to low productivity, high H₂S and CO₂ content, and infrastructure limitations. Her expertise spans sour oil operations, high-H₂S field development, ML5 multilateral completion technologies, and gas governance, consistently delivering performance milestones in complex, high-pressure environments. Sharina spearheaded ADNOC’s first ML5 multilateral completion in well SN-40, a breakthrough in advanced well architecture that maximizes reservoir contact while reducing environmental footprint.

Sharina is the architect behind ADNOC’s SMART UFR Strategy, a data-driven approach that redefines appraisal models by emphasizing asset re-utilization, minimizing CAPEX, and accelerating undeveloped field recovery. This strategy has delivered significant cost savings, improved operational efficiency, and set a benchmark for sustainable reservoir development.
