Title : Innovative flange localized leak testing using Reverse Integrity Specialized Gasket (RISG) technology: A safer and more efficient approach to flange integrity verification

Abstract:

This paper explores the innovative use of Reverse Integrity Specialized Gaskets (RISG) for flange leak testing, offering a more efficient and safer alternative to traditional methods. The conventional approach to leak testing, while effective for small systems, can be impractical and resource-intensive for large-scale piping and pipeline systems. RISG gaskets provide a localized testing solution that significantly reduces test medium usage, operational downtime, and safety risks. Environmental benefits are also realized through reduced emissions from lower test medium usage. This paper discusses the technology, its advantages, and a comparative analysis with traditional methods, highlighting the benefits of adopting RISG gasket technology for flange management.
