Abdussalam Dardour

Biography:

Dr. Abdussalam is Senior Petroleum Geoscience Advisor at Petroleum Research Centre, Tripoli, Libya. Over 35 years’ experience with the Petroleum Research Centre working (leadership in basin evaluation, exploration strategy, and technical advisory roles Where he held the position of Geologist/Department Head and Project Manager (Libyan Basin Studies), Director and Senior Technical Advisor).  He received his Ph.D. from Kingston University, London, UK, 2004 (PhD Thesis title: Tectono-Stratigraphic Evolution of the Palaeozoic rocks and the Petroleum Systems of the Ghadamis Basin, Libya) and received his BSc from University of Al-Fateh, Tripoli, Libya in 1987. Visiting Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, Tripoli University (Designed and taught a Basin Analysis course for postgraduate and undergraduate students at Tripoli University). He has published over 20 papers, articles and many scientific research in local and international conferences and scientific journals, in addition he have transferred of many international technologies in the field of digitizing geological, geophysical and engineering information by establishing, supervising, and localizing them at Petroleum Research Centre, which contributed to raising the scientific and service capabilities of the Petroleum Research Centre and contributed to the implementation of many important projects and studies.
