Muftah Abubaker Almaloul

Biography:

Muftah Abubaker Almaloul earned a BSc in Geophysical Engineering from the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at the University of Tripoli, Libya, in 1985. He pursued postgraduate studies, obtaining a Master’s Certificate in Petroleum Geology from the Creative Malaysian Centre and Malaya University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He also earned a Certificate of Achievement in Geophysical Knowledge Transfer from GEDCO, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and an MBA Shale Gas Modelling Certificate from the Trappain Centre in London, UK. Mr. Almaloul completed specialized training on the TERRALOG SEISMOGRAPH for shallow seismic shooting at ABEM Company and Lulea University, Stockholm, Sweden. His professional development includes extensive courses in borehole imaging, dip interpretation and integration, formation evaluation, and VSP applications with Baker Atlas in Aberdeen and Montrose, UK, as well as technical training in seismic acquisition and processing. He supervised the offshore Libyan non-exclusive seismic survey with CGG in 2005. With over 35 years of experience in oil and gas exploration, working with multiple international companies, he is currently serving as a Technical Advisor Geophysicist in the Exploration Department at the National Oil Corporation, Tripoli, Libya.
