Biography:

Dr. Yunus Berdiyev is a Senior Petroleum Engineer at ADNOC Onshore with 17+ years in subsurface engineering across sandstone and carbonate reservoirs. He leads smart‑well completions, well‑integrity remediation, and rig/rigless production restoration programs in mature fields, with first‑of‑kind ADNOC deployments including selective auto‑flow smart completions (real‑time rate/fluid monitoring), deep‑set TRSV solutions enabling rigless ESP, and dual‑string all‑electric gas‑lift producers with selective injection control. His projects have delivered +15 mbd accelerated restarts, ~$120 MM avoided heavy workovers, and ≥20% lift‑efficiency gains under strict WIMS/HSE governance. Dr. Berdiyev holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering & Energy Project Management (Gubkin University) and has authored multiple SPE/ADIPEC papers on intelligent completions, rigless integrity repair, and production optimization—most recently SPE‑229939‑MS (ADIPEC 2025) on dual‑zone smart completions in an integrity‑challenged well.
