Biography:
Dr. Zahra Aghaeifar works as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, Sahand University of Technology, Tabriz, Iran. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Stavanger, Norway (2020). Previously, she holds an M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering and a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering – Petrochemical from Sahand University of Technology. She studies advanced methods of EOR (enhanced oil recovery), mainly smart water flooding, gas injection and interactions between rocks, oil and brine in high temperature sandstone reservoirs. She has several peer-reviewed publications in highly respected journals such as Energy & Fuels and the Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering; also she is author of presentations in various international conferences. Her thesis "EOR by Seawater and 'Smart Water' Flooding in High Temperature Sandstone Reservoirs" is a well-known paper in this area. As well as scientific researches, Dr. Aghaeifar has good experience in lectures at university; she gives courses such as Enhanced Oil Recovery. Dr. Aghaeifar has a very good level of English which helps her to communicate scientific knowledge both in writing and lecturing
