Title : Harnessing value via enterprise optimisation centre
Abstract:
PETRONAS Digital Twin Enterprise Optimisation Centre (EOC) aims to provide a virtual and connected “digital twin” of the entire PETRONAS operations.
EOC team consists of 25 cross-business value chain across the enterprise, identified several hundred critical data points that represent current and plan molecular movements across the entire integrated value chain. An extraordinary effort was then undertaken to connect to the numerous business centric data sources, to allow visibility of the entire enterprise operations. All these efforts were implemented remotely in the cloud using four cloud-based servers.
EOC Unified Experience aimed to address the pain point of How might we provide end-to-end visibility of key enterprise data and insight to enable value-driven decision making?
The EOC is equipped with the capability to visualize end-to-end critical enterprise data across business value chains, allowing Enterprise Entity to identify and seize the opportunities while at the same time anticipating the risks or mitigating crisis with pace. This liberation of curated data and information is essential to enable quality decision-making at pace, fostering New Ways of Working, and improving business agility in accelerating PETRONAS growth strategies.
EOC molecular was developed with a concerted effort to provide simplicity in understanding the organization at molecular level, which it has achieved. EOC has incorporated Greenhouse Emissions (GHG) flows to provide visibility reconciled emission data at enterprise level, while incorporating financial flows that will allow optimization at corporate level and determine commercial performance based on molecular movements, coupled with high level what-if capability for enterprise scenarios.
The PETRONAS Digital Twin project has delivered its first artifact in the form of the EOC with the objective to deliver Organizational Agility. In a world where the dynamics of business is moving at an extraordinary space, where volatility is high, where ESG and energy transition is a pervasive, there is a need for the organization to reshape itself continuously and to be able to move with pace for both opportunities and threats. The EOC provides this ability by enabling near real-time immersion at the Enterprise level, allowing for rapid decision-making and delivering an agile organization.
